Classes We Teach

Rooted in pole, our studio offers more than just one discipline. We’ve created a diverse class lineup that blends strength training, flexibility, and movement-based fitness to support your growth both on and off the pole.

  • Pole Beginner-Elite

    Our pole program is structured across six progressive levels, designed to support every stage of your journey—from absolute beginner to advanced performer. Students start with foundational skills like basic spins, grips, and floorwork, then gradually build strength, coordination, and confidence as they move through each level. As you advance, you’ll learn climbs, inversions, leg hangs, and more complex transitions, with an increasing focus on technique, endurance, and fluidity.

  • Heels Basics

    Strap on those heels and let's have some fun! In this class, you will learn the absolute basics of heelwork, from walking, gliding, sliding, to classic pole moves remixed with heel technique. Different topics will be covered from week to week, often with some mini-combos and choreography to start implementing what you learn, as well as time to freestyle.

    Heels required. Must be Elementary level to attend.

  • Exotic Basework

    Want to learn how to dance, while performing some sexy, exotic movements on and around the pole? Then Exotic Pole is for you. Body waves, handstands, rolls, flips, and plenty of floorwork await in this 60 min class. Your instructor will coach you through a brief sequence, focusing on upping your confidence to make you feel like the most exotic version of yourself. Heels and leggings are recommended, but not necessary. Kneepads are highly recommended. Suitable for Elementary and Up; must be cleared by EDP Staff before signing up.

  • Stretch

    Suitable for all levels working to improve their flexibility and mobility. Stretch is a basic flexibility class, with progressions and regressions for different student levels. The class will cover both passive and active flexibility. There is no pole in Stretch, so the class is open to nonpolers. But, if you are a poler, Stretch is a great way to give yourself consistent flexibility training to increase the range of motion when on the pole.

  • Strength Conditioning

    Strength Conditioning is a non-pole class suitable for all levels!

    Come join this one hour class, where you will go over tons of interesting and varied conditioning drills, for legs, abdominals, back, shoulders. Nothing is off limits in this class. This class is perfect for both non-pole students and pole students alike; get a great workout and improve your balance, strength, and coordination all in one.

  • Buti Yoga

    Buti is a dynamic Asana practice fused with primal movement, tribal dance, and deep core engagement. Fused with classic vinyasa and traditional yoga, not only is it an intense full-body workout, Buti has changed so many lives through connectivity with the self and your surrounding tribe.   • Invertable

    This class in a non-pole class constructed to condition floor inverts for students of all levels. Students will be taken through a structured warm-up, focusing on wrists, shoulders, compression and active flexibility. Your instructor will coach you through a variety of floor inversions, from shoulder stand to plow to crow, headstands and handstands galore. No inversion experience required.

  • Mat Pilates

    This all levels Mat Pilates class focuses on controlled, breath-led movement to build core strength, improve posture, and increase overall stability. Using just a yoga mat, with optional props provided for added support or challenge, you’ll move through purposeful floor-based exercises that can be modified for beginners or intensified for more experienced students. Expect a full-body workout that leaves you feeling stronger, aligned, and refreshed.

  • Aerial Yoga

    Come fly with us during this Aerial Yoga class on our quality hammocks! The hammock acts like a swing or soft trapeze, supporting the hips for forward bends and back bends. The Hammock will be used as a prop for some amazing aerial tricks, transitions, and combos. There are no pre-requisites for this class; all levels are welcome!

  • Stretch with Silks

    This class is ALL LEVELS and adapted to every body, from the bendiest dancer to the most beginner of students. Your instructor will take you through a focused hour of both passive and active stretches depending on your comfortability, using the silks as support to get deeper in those stretches and explore new ways to move the body.

  • Aerial Hammock

    This All Levels Aerial Hammock class is designed to meet you exactly where you are, whether you’re stepping into the fabric for the first time or you’re an experienced hammock mover refining your skills. Absolute beginners will learn foundational wraps, mounts, and poses with a strong emphasis on safety and body awareness, while more advanced students will explore dynamic tricks, longer combinations, and creative transitions.

  • Lyra

    Come fly with us in our All Levels Lyra class! A Lyra is an aerial hoop wrapped in grip-tape that hangs from a rigging point in the ceiling. Taught by your certified Lyra instructor, this class will focus on tricks, transitions, poses and combinations inside the Lyra. All levels welcome, which means if you have never taken a Lyra class before, this is a perfect fit for you!

  • Aerial Silks

    All Levels Aerial Silks is a 75-minute class welcoming beginners through experienced aerialists alike! Students learn to climb, wrap, and pose on long fabric silks suspended from the ceiling while building strength, flexibility, and body awareness. The instructor offers progressions and modifications so newcomers can learn foundational skills safely while more advanced students refine technique and transitions.

Pole Curriculum

Leveled pole classes are designed to support you every step of the way. Pole is a unique blend of strength, technique, and confidence, and starting at the right level helps you build a strong, safe foundation. As you grow, each level gently introduces new challenges so you can progress at a pace that feels empowering—not overwhelming. Whether you’re brand new or more experienced, you’ll be surrounded by others on a similar journey, making it easier to learn, connect, and celebrate your progress.

  • Here you will be introduced to the art of pole fitness by building strength in your core and upper body, improving flexibility, and bringing some confidence and excitement to the way you move and hold yourself through the spins and poses.

    No experience is necessary!

    Beginner pole class covers topics such as basic grips, body terms (inside/outside), pirouettes, sit, intro to climbing, front and back hook spin, corkscrew spin.

  • Once you’ve mastered the beginner foundations, you move up to elementary level.

    To be considered Elementary you must be able to:

    • Pirouettes and variations of Pirouettes

    • Sit and variations of Sits

    • Corkscrew

    • Front Hook & Back Hook

    • Basic Grips, Body Terms (inside/outside etc), and Concepts

    • Firm comprehension of names of moves

    • Proper engagement and technique in moves, including proper lines

    • Proper control of body and pole

    • Ability to complete 1-2 climbs

    The elementary pole class covers topics such as: two point of contact spin basics (chair spin, pencil spin), cradle spin, climbing, and undergrip/split grip holds.

  • This is where your pole fitness journey really begins heating up! You will now get used to being able to hang upside-down. This class will focus on strength and conditioning exercises vital to good form. Leg hangs and laybacks make appearances at this level.

    To be considered pre-intermediate you must be able to:

    • Two Point of Contact Basic Concepts (Chair Spin/Pencil Spin)

    • Cradle Spin

    • Balanced Static/Spin Concepts (momentum/body awareness/steering)

    • Climb (on Spin & Static)

    • Undergrip/Split Grip Holds (on Spin & Static)

    • Firm comprehension of names of moves

    • Proper engagement and technique in moves, including body alignment, control, awareness, efficient use of movement pattern and strength

    • Proper control of body and pole

    The pre-intermediate pole class covers topics such as chopper invert, jamilla, laybacks, reverse grab, leg hangs, and shoulder mount.

  • Intermediate continues to build on the strength and awareness for inverted pole movements and combinations.

    To be considered intermediate you must be able to:

    • Aerial 3 points of contact moves and transitions

    • Chopper Invert

    • Jamilla

    • Laybacks (Cross-Knee Release/Stargazer)

    • Reverse Grab

    • No-Handed Leg Hangs (on Spin & Static)

    • Shouldermount Basics

    • Firm comprehension of names of moves

    • Proper engagement and technique in moves, including body alignment, control, awareness, efficient use of movement pattern and strength

    • Proper control of body and pole

    Topics covered in the intermediate pole class include: aerial inverts, handspring, brass monkey, leg switches/body switches, pole handstansd, aerial jamilla

  • Pole Advanced is our level 5 class that will really challenge you! In this class, you will be going over more complex inverted moves, as well as multiple transitions in and out using only two points of contact.

    To be considered advanced you must be able to:

    • Aerial 2 point of contact moves and transitions

    • Shouldermount Chopper (on Spin & Static)

    • Brass Monkey (Upright & Inverted)

    • Straight Leg Aerial Inverts (on Spin & Static)

    • Leg Switches/Body Switches

    • Pole Handstands and variations of Pole Handstands

    • Handspring

    • Aerial Jamilla

    • Aerial two point of contact moves and transitions

    • Firm comprehension of names of moves

    • Proper engagement and technique in moves, including body alignment, control, awareness, efficient use of movement pattern and strength 

    • Proper control of body and pole

  • Elite is the highest level offered at EDP; be prepared to flip, split, drop, execute complex transitions on both spin and static and much, much more.

    General pre-reqs for Elite are: familiarity with phoenixes, fonji, deadlifts, complex transitions, and high level flexibility.

    Must be cleared beforehand by Meg or Jamie to attend Elite.
